What really happens during the treatment of TMT?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation,TMS service,Advanced TMS Associates
If you suffer from depression, TMS treatments can help relieve those feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. With the use of magnetic fields to stimulate and stimulate neurons in the brain, dTMS treatment decreases the symptoms associated with depression. This brain stimulation method is localized and painless, with no undesirable side effects. Magnetic pulses generated by TMS depolarize neurons, neural networks and transform to stimulate the release of neurotransmitters in hypo- or sub-activity regions of the brain.

What to expect when treating MSD

At Achieve TMS Centers, we have been doing TMS treatment since it was approved by the FDA in the United States. Our experience and success have positioned us as a leader in the field. Due to the positive results of our patients and the low interruption rate, we are continually expanding and opening new centers to help more patients in the United States. UU

A dTMS treatment session lasts about 20 minutes. Generally, you will receive a treatment session five days a week for six weeks. This is what you can expect to receive when you contact us for the first time to help you control and overcome your depression:

Step 1 - Free Consultation

All patients interested in dTMS treatment can choose to participate in a free consultation at one of our centers. Our admission team will answer all your questions about the treatment and plan the consultation. During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to see the treatment room and answer any additional questions about the treatment. At this time, we will collect your medical history and a list of drug trials. We will also obtain information about your insurer so that we can carry out a supplementary verification of the benefits after the consultation.

Step 2 - Assessment with our psychiatrist

After your consultation, our office will schedule an evaluation with our psychiatrist TMS. If you use insurance, someone from our admissions team will also review your benefits.
During the assessment, you will discuss with one of our psychiatrists about your depression, your symptoms and your previous treatments. The doctor and you will collaborate and discuss if the dTMS is the right choice. If it is determined that dTMS is a good treatment option, our intake team will contact your insurance to request prior approval for treatment, if necessary.

Step 3 - Cortical Mapping

After being approved for TMS, the admission team will program its cortical mapping. Your TMS psychiatrist and your TMS technician will be present at this appointment. The psychiatrist will determine the exact location in the brain (cerebral cortex) for further processing.
Step 4: Configure the treatment

When the time of their first treatment with DTMs, he will enter a treatment room at one of our centers and sit in a comfortable chair by the following machine (DTMs photo). We want you to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible during treatment.

The configuration in the room includes:
   • Computer to adjust the duration of the magnetic pulses.
   • Machine that creates magnetic explosions.
   • "Casco" containing the coils H delivering magnetic pulses.
  • Soft cap and helmet holding the H coils in place.
Step 5 - Magnetic Orientation

Once seated, a soft hat will be placed on your head (see photo below). Thereafter, the therapist will use a flexible tape measure to find the location in his brain that should be the target of the magnetic bursts.

Step 6 - Start treatment

We provide earplugs to reduce the noise produced by the machine, which works similarly to an MRI. Then, the helmet of the machine will be lowered on your head until the reels are located just above your scalp. The technician will move it to the correct position of your head to make sure that the magnetic pulses are directed to the correct area.

Step 7 – Treatment

Once everything is in place, you can listen to music or watch TV when treatment begins. You may be tapping and you may even feel that someone touches your head gently. We deliver the magnetic pulses, called trains, in short bursts. A typical TDMS session lasts about 20 minutes.

Step 8 - End of treatment
Once all the trains have been delivered, we will take off our hat and helmet and go home or return to work. Here. There is no need for sedatives or drivers to help you get home. He immediately resumes his daily life.

You may have a mild headache or scalp irritation, but most people do not. And if they do, it is mild and usually lasts no longer than the first treatment.

Subsequent DSM Treatments

You do not need the assignment before each treatment of TMT. However, we will allocate a few more times during the six-week period to make sure you get the best out of the CEWs.
What differentiates the treatment of TMD?

DTMS has been shown to offer more benefit to patients as it allows magnetic impulses to reach deeper into the brain, allowing for a wider range of neurons. This scope translates into a better opportunity to stimulate the right goal.

dTMS treatment can be a glimmer of hope that highlights the weight and darkness of your daily fight against depression.

How do you know that dTMS works?

Manish Sheth MD, Certified Psychiatrist Reach TMS, describe what you could expect once the treatments started:

1. An improvement in sleep, often during the first week.
2. The ability to focus better, often as early as the second week.
3. The symptoms of depression decrease.
4. After four to five weeks, many people start to feel between 70% and 80% as "more normal".
5. At six weeks, many find that most of their symptoms are gone.

Relieve the symptoms of depression and "feel normal again" with dTMS treatment
Large independent studies have shown a response rate of 75% (30% decrease in symptoms) with a remission rate of nearly 50% (disappearance of symptoms).
