Alex McGlothlin


Alex focuses his practice on start-up and high-growth businesses. His services include company formation; commercial contract review, negotiation and drafting; public and private securities offerings; public securities offerings; mergers and acquisitions; and trademark clearance and registration. Alex has advised numerous sponsors on real estate investment trusts ("REITs"), 1031 syndications and private placements of real estate investments. Alex is an adjunct professor at the Appalachian School of Law, teaching a course titled "Entrepreneur Law," a practicum course that gives students hands-on experience in servicing a business client in the various stages of its life cycle, including projects such as limited liability company formation, advising the client on capital raising, and disposition of the company in a private M&A exit.
