Olga Sam (Volha Samuila-formal name) was
born and raised in Belarus. She received her bachelor's degree in Art
appreciation from Vitebsk State University in 2004. During next few years Olga
worked as a researcher in National Center of Modern Arts of the Republic of
Belarus and as a senior researcher in Belarusian National Arts Museum. She also
attended Graphic Design classes at Belarusian State Academy of Arts in
2007-2008.
Her true passion for art appeared when she
was a little girl growing up in a small town surrounded by lakes, farm fields,
and green forests. At first, Olga tried capturing all of that beauty by very
simple photo camera. And it did not take too long before she ended up in an art
studio for kids and started her learning experience.
Olga moved to the United States when her
husband received a job offer. And she started to practice producing art again
in 2016.
Since then Olga has taken classes and
attended workshops conducted by nationally recognized artist, Andy Braitman at
Braitman studio; visited many open figure drawing sessions throughout Charlotte
area; and has worked in her studio developing her skills and talents farther in
abstract art inspired by nature.
Resides in Visual Artist in Matthews NC USA
Member of Mint Hill Arts.
